Bauhaus

The Bauhaus project is actually a summary of my study of the summer school in Bauhaus Universtät Weimar, Germany. I thought of making a little work that can represent me as a "graduated student" of the summer school, which can show others what I have learnt from the program.

I joined the program of "Moving Traces: Design Elements and Principles" in Bauhaus Universtät Weimar in 2017. We have learnt lots of things related to design and bauhaus. During the class, we were encouraged to make several handcrafts in order to learn the design elements and principles, like dots, lines and shapes. Meanwhile, we also learn the history and the features of bauhaus so we can understand more in applying bauhaus style into our own design.

The reason I made this animation is that, we have learnt using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to make stop motion and I thought it would be nice if I can connect all the skills and medias that we have learnt and used in the class into one piece of artwork. Therefore, the animation is like a timeline of what we have done in the class, similar to a diary. Moreover, it is also a storyteller, the story of me being in the vibe of Bauhaus.
